In recent years, Europe and the United States have introduced policies to encourage new energy vehicles, which has driven China’s rapid growth of lithium-ion battery export. According to the statistics of China Customs, China’s export of lithium-ion batteries reached 11.76 billion US dollars from January to November 2019, an increase of 20% year-on-year, maintaining a continuous high-speed growth momentum, which was significantly higher than that of the United States, Germany, Japan and other major countries of traditional auto industry.
In the first 11 months, China's lithium-ion battery exports to the United States amounted to US $1.69 billion, a year-on-year increase of 30%, to Germany reached to US $1.1 billion, a year-on-year increase of 73%, and to Japan amounted to US $640 million, an increase of 18% year-on-year.Among them, Germany plans to increase the number of electric vehicles to 7 million to 10 million by 2030, and plans to invest 3.5 billion euros to increase the public charging points of electric vehicles to 1 million. At the end of 2019, the country proposes to extend the subsidy policy for electric vehicles ending at the end of 2020 to the end of 2025, which will subsidize 25% or 50% of the total vehicle price for consumers to purchase electric vehicles.
